I really wanted a nice long range bolt gun, so I built up from a Remington 700 VSS. Badger Ordnance knob, rings and base. Leupold 4.5-14x50mm VX-III. I hand-lapped the bolt, and replaced the factory trigger with one from Timney. Harris bipod. Very accurate. I wanted to replace the stock with an A5 from McMillan, but since I am not likely to afford one anytime soon, it is time to glass bed it. I also want to re-tap it up to an 8-40 for the base.
